    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    Position is responsible to assist in the preparation and analysis of financial data resulting in the preparation of timely and accurate account reconciliations. Responsible for performing accounting activities such as maintenance of general ledger accounts, preparing various account reconciliations and year-end audit schedules, examining, analyzing and interpreting accounting records for management. 

     

    • Preparation and reconciliation of various general ledger accounts
    • Analyze financial data to detect problems and take necessary action to correct those problems
    • Monitor and manage expense accruals
    • Prepare various financial reports for other department and 3rd parties
    • Use secondary financial programs to generate files or reports to be uploaded into Lawson/Infor
    • Maintain assigned audit schedules for fiscal year-end presentation
    • Prepare and enter various month-end accrual, reclass, general, and recurring journal entries
    • Process fixed asset additions, disposals, and adjustments
    • Generate and distribute various financial reports as needed
    • Perform monthly expense analysis for financial package
    • Support manager with month-end and year-end process

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Four year college degree in Accounting
    • Two to four years general ledger experience
    • General understanding of GAAP
    • Advanced computer skills: Microsoft suite of products
    • Lawson/Infor General Ledger software package experience strongly preferred
    • Strong analytical skills. Ability to think and solve problems independently
    • Excellent organizational and communication (interpersonal) skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
