    JOB SUMMARY:

     

    Responsible for the implementation of merchandising plans in accordance with company, product, and visual merchandising standards; evaluate merchandise to ensure product movement including best seller, slow seller, and aged inventory.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     

    • Help develop and implement Simple Merchandising process to increase compliance with top sellers and highly advertised merchandise
    • Implement company standards for appearance, arrangement, and ordering of merchandise; plan and coordinate merchandise flow-through
    • Collaborate with merchandise team to determine product groupings, best sellers, substitutions and exceptions
    • Follow plan to display merchandise in accordance with Corporate Store Index and Style Mapping to create effective displays
    • Communicate with Dealer/Manager to obtain approval of furniture and merchandise plans
    • Communicate setup procedures and requirements with Dealers/Managers
    • Facilitate use of marketing and visual merchandising tools to increase compliance (ABC, Indexes, etc.)
    • Use and comply with template library to be used in furniture plans
    • Develop routines for timely execution of workload
    • Remerchandise floor plan displays and select areas of the store regularly to maximize product sell through
    • Involve staff in visual maintenance of store and assist in communicating the company’s visual merchandising standards
    • Analyze selling reports and identify best and slow sellers; review with team to determine how information should be used
    • Execute quarterly guide plans and facilitate quarterly maintenance of each store
    • Analyze past sales figures/trends to anticipate future product needs
    • Maintain order tracking and follow-up for replacement groups; manage aged inventory and continue markdown when necessary.
    • Run inventory reports to determine current stock; analyze data and create reporting to determine product movement goals
    • Additional duties as assigned

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • High School Diploma/GED required; Associates Degree preferred
    • One year practical experience preferred
    • One to two years’ experience in project management and process development
    • Understanding of the Product Life Cycle
    • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail
    • Ability to communicate effectively with dealers, retail stores, and other corporate personnel by telephone, or through written communication
    • Anticipates customer needs, acts with customers in mind, exceeds customers’ expectations, gains customers’ trust and respect, all with a professional, helpful and positive presence
    • Assimilate information and make decisions
    • Work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner
    • Some travel to stores may be needed periodically
    • Ability to multitask in a deadline driven environment and prioritize duties on a daily basis
    • Is action oriented, drives for results, acts decisively, solves problems, can be counted on to consistently meet or exceed goals
    • Personal initiative; must plan and organize work and follow up completely
    • Advanced computer skills to include Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. (experience in StoreNet/STORIS, Footprints/Track-IT and Event Planner); ability to learn new applications and programs
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedure manuals
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure and compute percent, ratio, etc.
